An intergalactic space scientist tries to drain the Robinson's human qualities to bolster his android creation.
Penny and the Bloop encounter a scientist named Sesmar, and his android creation, Raddion. After Penny tells Sesmar of her feelings for a beautiful flower she rushes back to the Jupiter 2, but no one believes her story about the aliens. Sesmar, meanwhile, has decided that feelings might be useful to add to Raddion.
His lab assistants deliver Smith to Sesmar at his spaceship-laboratory, but the alien scientist finds that Smith's human qualities are useless. He wants to break Smith down and rebuild him, but Smith implores him not to, saying that he will help get desirable characteristics from the others at the Jupiter 2. Sesmar dispatches Smith to the Jupiter 2 with a camera-like character transpirator. Smith pretends to take everybody's "picture", then returns the plates to Sesmar.
Sesmar transplants them to Raddion, then decides further transpiration is desirable. The Robinsons and Don accompany Sesmar to his lab to shake hands with Raddion, but Don suspects something and refuses to shake the android's hand, which has actually drained the Robinsons' human qualities. Back at the Jupiter 2, Don becomes distressed by the Robinsons' total loss of interest in the tasks necessary for their survival. Sesmar decides that Raddion needs a few negative qualities, like anger and cunning, to balance those he has garnered from the Robinsons. He ties Smith and Don together and tries to drain their emotions, but since they were aware of Sesmar's scheme, the transpiration is ineffective.
Don and Smith steal Sesmar's remote controller, and Don grabs an electronic blow torch to stay Raddion. Under the threat of the torch, Don is able to persuade Sesmar to turn over the transpiration plates. Sesmar claims he needs the remote controller for this, but when Don gives it to him, he uses it to activate Raddion. The Robot blasts Raddion and deactivates him. Don removes the transpirator plates from the android, and the Robinsons return to their normal selves.
Ray says: John Abbott guest stars as Sesmar the scientist in this episode.
