Will, Smith and the Robot are shanghaied by a renegade space ship Admiral.
Will and the Robot watch as Dr. Smith fires a missile which he hopes will cause rain. But the missile hits the Robinson's weather station, destroying it. While Smith awaits word from Will about a return to the Jupiter 2, he and the Robot find an abandoned, battered alien space craft. As Smith investigates the possibilities of repairing it for a getaway to Earth, the space craft's owner, Admiral Zahrk, watches from nearby rocks.
When Smith returns to the Jupiter 2, John, Don, Maureen, Penny, Will and Judy receive him in silence, and Smith decides to exile himself. He purposely makes faulty repairs on the alien ship, but Zahrk corrects the work while Smith sleeps. When Will arrives with food, Zahrk grabs the boy and prepares to take off. But the ship cannot get off the ground. Don and John, meanwhile, decide to call Smith's bluff and deliver a spare propulsion unit to the alien space ship site. Zahrk seizes the unit and installs it. When Smith and the Robot appear, he seizes them. Will discovers what his father and Don have done and rushes to save Smith.
But Zahrk tricks him aboard. With his crew of three, Zahrkblasts off in pursuit ofMr. Kidnoh and the crew that mutinied on his ship. They head directly into a solar fire, but Zahrk orders full speed ahead. Zahrk becomes crazed and addresses Smith as Mr. Kidnoh. He orders Will to lock Smith up. John and Don, meanwhile, have constructed a device that reverses the magnetic polarity of the propulsion unit on Zahrk's ship. They aim it heavenward to draw the Admiral's ship back. Zahr k' s shi p reverses its course and sails backwards to the planet.
Zahrk spots the Robinsons and prepares to blast then;, thinking they are Kidnoh and his men. John and Don engage the force field, then meet the ship. When they arrive, Will and Smith and the Robot are safe, but Zahrk has taken off to continue his pursuit.
Ray says: There has always been a long standing debate among LIS fans as too which LIS episode is the worst. Mutiny seems to always be chosen as one of them. I myself enjoy this episode. Ronald Long does a good job as Admiral Zahrk and this episode is Fantasy at
its finest.
